Colin Callbeck has his roots on the east coast of Canada in Prince Edward Island where he learned to fish at a young age with his grandfather. A sixteen foot bamboo spay rod was his introductions to what has become a passion. He moved to Calgary, Alberta when he was 24 and has pursued his love of the sport to this day. He was introduced to the art of fly tying by Jim McLennan and has been tying Salmon Flies since 1980. He has demonstrated his tying skills in seminars in Canada, the United States and abroad and loves teaching these skills to the future generation of fly tiers. His salmon fly artwork has been auctioned with Trout Unlimited Canada and other charities for many years. Colin and his flies have been featured in several magazines such as Fly Fusion and Storyline.
