In September 2020, Fly fishermen and Atlantic salmon fly tiers from all over the world will experience the fourth edition of the Atlantic Salmon Fly International (“ASFI”), a gathering that is like no other. The first two ASFI events were held in Seattle, Washington, USA in 2014 and 2016. ASFI 2018 was held in the beautiful capital of Atlantic salmon country, the City of Miramichi, New Brunswick, Canada. ASFI 2020 will be held in Syracuse, New York USA and the organizing committee is extremely excited about what is in store for all those who will be participating as well as attending. Once again it is a three day event, starting on September 25th, 2020 and culminating on September 27th, 2020.
As it was in previous years, the ASFI organizing committee has assembled a list of 80 internationally renowned Atlantic salmon fly tiers and hook makers to demonstrate their skills for the fishing and tying communities, and currently no less than 13 countries will be represented, from Japan to Norway to Russia.
The best Atlantic salmon fly tiers, creating beautiful feather wing flies will demonstrate their skills and share their knowledge on tying and fishing these storied patterns. ASFI 2020 will not only feature world renowned fly tiers but also have hook making demonstrations, seminars, exhibitors, a banquet and fishing as well as sightseeing opportunities for our guest tiers and their spouses.
