Announcement Regarding the cancellation of the ASFI
In recent months, we have seen the affect that the outbreak of the coronavirus has had on us worldwide. Our daily lives have experienced a change that few ever thought would be possible but the reality is here to stay - quite possibly for a time span of a few months to possibly late into this year. That is the unknown - just how long the affect will last.
Recognizing that - the planning committee (Tom, Paul, and Chuck) have made the very difficult decision to reschedule the ASFI to the fall of 2022. There was much that needed to be considered in making this decision but in the end, we realized that whether we liked it or not - it was in the best interest of those who would be traveling great distances from opposite sides of the world as well as those who would be traveling close - that the risk was too great to continue to plan for an event to take place this year. Even though the risk of infection may decrease by September, most likely there would be some who may feel uncomfortable traveling and interacting in close proximity to others while at the show. We also wanted to allow you all to have the time to cancel your travel plans to arrive here for this year and to concentrate on your own personal safety and health in the upcoming months.
In short - much time, effort and discussion has taken place over the past several months in planning an event that will bring friends and family from around our world to gather in one place to share a passion. We understand that there may be some who disagree with this decision. Please understand that the number one concern for us was the health and safety of our brothers and sisters around the world who need to focus on their own personal situation over the next several months. And we will say it once again - this event will occur. But it must occur during a time when we all feel comfortable traveling and sharing our passion without any adverse risk. And although there will be a bit of a delay - we look forward to ASFI 2022. This Facebook site and our website will continue to remain in place for updates and we encourage everyone to post updates on how we are doing in these times of uncertainty.
Finally, our very best to each and every one of you. Please stay safe, stay healthy and our thoughts are constantly reaching out to each and every one of you. We look forward to being in a time and place where we will be able to meet again, shake hands again, and be together again.
